Book a consultationA total knee replacement (TKR) is a surgery where surgeons remove the ends of the thigh and shin bones and put in artificial knee parts. These artificial knee parts are usually made of metal and high-density plastic.
Every patient is unique and prices will be based on your consultant and your specifics needs.
ACL repair is a surgery carried out on one of the main supporting ligaments of the knee. The ACL ligament helps keep the knee steady when you twist, turn, or do side-to-side movements. It also tells the muscles around the knee what to do to protect it during activities.
ACL injuries usually happen when the knee twists a lot or during activities where you bump into something. You might feel or hear a pop or snap, and the knee can hurt and swell because of bleeding inside. Sometimes, other parts of the knee, like cartilage or the joint surface, can also get hurt at the same time.
If the ACL is ruptured, the knee is likely to give way. This can improve with an appropriate exercise programme supervised by a physiotherapist. However, if the symptom of giving-way does not improve and is limiting function, this might mean that surgery is required.
ACL reconstruction surgery may be required when a knee feels unstable after an ACL injury. The goal of the surgery is to make the knee stable again without causing problems for other parts of the joint.
A knee arthroscopy involves surgeons making a couple of small cuts in front of the knee. They use a tiny camera called an arthroscope to see and fix things inside the knee. This procedure is usually done with general anesthesia, either as a day visit or sometimes with one night in the hospital.
High tibial osteotomy is a surgery to reduce your knee pain by changing the alignment of your leg. It helps by shifting your body weight to the healthier outer side of the knee.
MPFL reconstruction surgery is mainly performed for an unstable kneecap, especially when it moves to the side too much. The goal is to make the knee stable again without causing problems for other parts of the joint.
Arthrosamid® is a new type of treatment that offers patients an effective alternative to current therapies. It is a non-biodegradable hydrogel (iPAAG) single-dose injection that is injected into the knee to cushion the joint and relieve pain. It delivers long-acting and sustained pain relief, improving the quality of life for patients with knee osteoarthritis.
Arthrosamid® treatment is available at RNOH Private Care. For more information contact our Private Care team.

If you smoke, your surgeon may refuse to operate unless you can refrain from smoking before and during the healing phase of your procedure. Research has proven that smoking delays bone healing significantly. For more information contact our expert team.
