Patients & Visitors

Visitor Information

Visiting family and friends

Visitors are welcome at any time between 9am and 8.30pm, 7 days a week. Any visits outside of this time will be subject to the patient’s clinical condition. All visitors are asked to report to RNOH Private Care reception, every time they come to visit and to clean their hands on entering the ward.

We ask that visitors do not attend if they are feeling unwell, have a cold or any stomach upset symptoms to protect patients and staff.

Respecting patient needs

Having visitors can be quite tiring and we find that most patients generally prefer to have only one or two visitors at any time.

We recommend that children under the age of 12 do not visit the ward.  They are welcome to meet with patients in our dedicated waiting area space if patients are physically well enough to do so.  Please discuss any visits from children with the Private Care team in advance.

"Staff were so lovely, at ease and understood what was going on. The consultant was always on hand to offer support and answer questions. The aftercare was tailored to me and got me back to dancing."

Sophie, 18 Hip Surgery

"We are incredibly happy by how straight her spine is and the fact that she’s 3 inches taller now. The care that we’ve received from the doctors, the nurses the paediatricians, anaesthetists - has been amazing"
