Our treatments include:

01Total Hip Replacement (THR)

A total hip replacement is often needed for various reasons, with the most common being osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis happens when the cartilage in the hip joint wears out, making the ball of the thigh bone and the socket in the pelvic bone rub together. This causes a lot of pain and makes it hard to move the hip like you used to.

AMIS® (Anterior Minimally Invasive Surgery) in a total hip replacement is available at RNOH Private Care. This technique respects the nerves and avoids cutting muscles, leading to faster recovery for patients.

Every patient is unique and prices will be based on your consultant and your specifics needs.

  • Total hip replacement from £15,000.
  • Robotic assisted total hip replacement from £16,000.

02Revision hip replacement surgery

A revision hip replacement is a surgical procedure performed to replace or repair a previously implanted artificial hip joint. It is a more complex procedure compared to the initial hip replacement and may involve additional surgical steps, such as addressing bone loss, using specialised implants, or reconstructing damaged soft tissues.

The need for a revision hip replacement can arise due to various reasons, including implant loosening, infection, fractures around the implant, or changes in the bone and soft tissues over time. Our expert orthopaedic surgeons will evaluate each case individually to determine the most appropriate course of action for a revision hip replacement based on the specific issues and challenges faced by the patient.

If you smoke, your surgeon may refuse to operate unless you can refrain from smoking before and during the healing phase of your procedure. Research has proven that smoking delays bone healing significantly.
