Biography

Neil specialises in all aspects of non-spinal paediatric orthopaedics and has super-specialist expertise in advanced paediatric, adolescent and young adult hip preservation techniques and neuromuscular disorders such as cerebral palsy. He is triple fellowship trained, having spent one year at Sick Kids, Toronto the home of modern-day paediatric hip surgery and eighteen months at Great Ormond Steet, the best children’s Hospitals in North America and Europe respectively.  Two years at Europe’s busiest level one trauma centre (The Royal London), gave him a wide experience of caring for injured children.  He has a passion for computer navigated bone cuts (osteotomies) to improve surgical accuracy and human factors that reduce medical error.

With three young children of his own, Neil understands the large impact that surgery has on children and their families. He strives to ensure that every patient and their family feels supported and cared for throughout their journey with him, whilst specifically tailoring all treatments to their individual needs. As a concerned parent and clinician, he has been specially trained to respect, understand and manipulate the body’s ability to ‘self-heal’ (remodel) over time and he aims to be as non-invasive as possible to maximise results and minimise disruption.

How can I pay for treatment?

01Insured patients

We have contracts with the majority of insurers to cover the costs of your treatment. Before you attend either an outpatient appointment or being admitted to RNOH Private Care you must get authorisation from your insurer.

You will need to check with them your policy limits or restrictions and whether RNOH Private Care is in their chosen network of hospitals. Please ensure you have all the relevant details regarding your insurance, including your membership or policy number, when having any contact with our team.

Please be aware that you will be responsible for costs not covered by your insurance policy, such as any medication or equipment you are given to go home with. Our team will discuss these with you.

02Self Pay patients

More information for Self Pay patients is available here.
