Simon is a Consultant Hip Surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Prior to his appointment at RNOH he was a Consultant at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford for 6 years.

Biography

Simon graduated in medicine from the University of Southampton in 2004 and trained in orthopaedic surgery in north-west London. He completed fellowships in hip surgery in Bournemouth, Oxford and Guy’s Hospital, London. During his training, Simon completed a PhD in orthopaedic surgery at Imperial College London. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2013. He is a member of the British Hip Society and the International Society of Hip Arthroscopists.

Simon is a specialist hip surgeon who performs over 300 hip procedures each year. Simon’s practice includes the management of hip arthritis, hip dysplasia, labral tears, femoroacetabular (hip) impingement and sports hip injuries. He is one of only a handful of surgeons in the UK who regularly undertakes hip replacement (including minimally invasive anterior approach), revision hip replacement, keyhole (arthroscopy) hip surgery and hip realignment (osteotomy) surgery.
