Biography

Mr Woollard provides soft tissue reconstruction for the orthopaedic specialities based at the tertiary unit at Stanmore including sarcoma, joint reconstruction, spinal and spinal injury, and rehabilitation (amputee). Every case is unique and the strong collaborative approach between him and the orthopaedic teams has enabled innovative and tailored solutions to achieve restoration of form and function in some of the most complex cases in the UK.

Mr Woollard has a research background (PhD) in nerve regeneration which has fuelled his focus on facial palsy and on nerves in amputation. He is a recognised expert on targeted muscle reinnervation and the management of phantom limb and neuroma pain with multiple national and international presentations and publications on the subject. In addition he is a general plastic surgeon with a practice that includes skin cancer, aesthetics and facial reanimation.
