Dr Chirag Gorasia

Biography

Dr Gorasia is a registered Clinician with the Health and Care Professions Council and a Member of the British Psychological Society, Association of Clinical Psychologists, Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and EMDR UK. Dr Gorasia has over 15 years of clinical experience and has experience working with children and young people, families, adults and people with learning disabilities. He has experience in providing individual therapy, family work and group therapies for people with both physical and mental health difficulties.

Dr Gorasia believes it is important to consider evidence-based practice whilst still being person-centred and draws on a wide range of models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Rational Emotional Behavioural Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR and Psychodynamic approaches. He has worked in some of the country’s top hospitals including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital (Evelina) and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in both inpatient and outpatient clinics both in the NHS and privately on the world-renowned Harley Street. He has also worked with community groups and charities.
