Alessandro Vidoni is Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist. He specialises in diagnostic imaging and imaging-guided procedures.

Dr Vidoni’s educational journey includes earning a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Padua Medical School, Padua, Italy, and obtaining specialisation in Clinical Radiology at Padua University Hospital. He has also completed a Fellowship in MSK Radiology at the University of California San Diego and a Clinical Fellowship in MSK Radiology at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham.

Biography

Specialising in diagnostic and interventional MSK Radiology, Dr Vidoni is proficient in various diagnostic radiology techniques, including US, Conventional Radiology, CT, and MRI. His skills extend to interventional radiology, covering US-guided injections and biopsies, as well as CT-guided injections and biopsies for spinal and joint conditions.

Dr Vidoni’s dedication to patient cares complemented by his contributions to scientific research, with publications in international journals and presentations at prominent meetings.

Among his notable achievements, Dr Vidoni received the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology Poster Prize in 2017 for his work on the diagnostic algorithm for evaluating calcaneum lesions. In 2016, he was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Radiological Society of North America for his scientific exhibit on chondral lesions in the setting of meniscal pathology. Additionally, he received the Radiological Society of North America Student Travel Award in 2016 for his research on the MR properties of the posterior root ligaments of the knee.
